Looking for an excuse to go back ASAP!

My daughter's birthday meal was, as ever, fabulous! Our welcome was very warm, the service was fantastic and the food could not have been fresher if it had been cooked at our table! It is a very relaxing place in which to be, exuding warmth and friendliness and the quality of the food is first class. Can't wait to go back!

    Terrible

This place and the staff are a shambles. The cocktail took about 40 minutes to come as the staff ran backwards and forwards from the bar to the kitchen as they did not have one of the drinks for the cocktail. The small plates were ok, however it is very unprofessional and they have no idea what they are doing in this place. I would not recommend this to anyone and surprised they are able to operate a hotel.

    Service update required!

Attended here with friends for a catchup. Table booked for 18:45, one of the party arrived before others and ordered a lager. Still waiting 25 minutes later, then when it arrived it was not what he ordered. Sent back and waited another 20 mins for a replacement. Bar is apparently busy! Meanwhile, another waitress arrived and we stated we had booked under 5pm deal, so she had to get a different menu which took about 20 mins to arrive. We ordered wine which arrived quite quickly (so bar must have been quiet at this time!). Food was ordered after another wait, starters arrived reasonably in time. Mains then again arrived in reasonable time. 3 of the party had ordered desserts but by this time it was 21:30! These arrived and we also asked for the bill as people had to leave by 22:00. Food was excellent and 1 waitress seemed to be 'on the ball', but others were not attentive. We all agreed that we wouldn't go back due to terrible service, especially as the restaurant was not too busy.
